Its that time of year again..

Wow I cannot believe how fast time flies!
This morning was registration. 4 out of 5 classes I wanted had less than 10 spots left! Yikes. But, I clicked on my.missouristate until I could sign up and typed in my classes super fast! Got them all! :)
Next fall I will be in an apartment with the lovely Megan and Paige and having this awesome schedule:

Monday & Wednesday:
2-3:50 Environmental Geology
4:10-5:25 Political Science

Tuesday & Thursday:
9:30-1045 Intro to Social Work
11-12:15 Micro Economics
12:30-1:45 Social Work: Human Diversity

No class on Friday! Yay.
I'm done late Monday & Wednesday, but don't start til 2 and starting early Tuesday & Thursday but done by 2!
Nice variety, I think. So I'm pumped.

And soon I'll start working on my Spring schedule at California State University!
So ecstatic.
Less than 2 weeks of school. Only 3 finals and I'll be back in St. Charles with all the slushies I want and just being HOME!

Going to do a happy dance,
Angela

Trip to remember

I know its possible to make it from STL to Springfield or the other way in 3 hours but no matter what you can count on SOMETHING making it take at least 3 1/2 hours or more. This trip, not an exception. Caught in a storm.
:( took almost 5 hours.
But before that, Heidi came to my school and we had lunch at the wonderful Garst HA. Then I ran a mile. Then we went to 'downtown' Springfield, which is a grid of maybe 5 streets. We had dinner at Trolly's. MMM.
And got on our way!

This is why it was the BEST TRIP EVER: Heidi + Taffy = Happy Angela

Yes! We stopped a Redmons. Yum. "Salt water taffy?!"
Notice: the warm sunny weather outside.

I wish I had her smile. I don't wish I made her faces.
"like, 'stop-eating-the-paste' special?" Yes.

This is why it was the WORST TRIP EVER: Hail+Thunder+Lightening = Yikes.

Hour later? Hail storm.

Her hands were glued there for the next 2 hours.

Best + Worst trip ever = Trip to remember.
Well I'm in St. Charles, if anyone was scared for me, I made it.
All worth it because I LOVE LOVE LOVE home.

I love the Chuck,
Angela

Sring has sprung

It amazes me that even though I don't have a cool, nice, camera and even though I don't have any photography skills... God's natural creation is always photogenic.

Sometimes I forget how pretty MSU's campus can be. I'm always too concerned with falling in giant puddles or being blown over by the racecar speed winds.

I had to take a picture of an organism for Biology extra credit.
Easiest assignment ever? I think so.
If only I didn't have sneeze attacks when I touch plants in spring time.

With green thumbs,
Angela

Cupcakery

Took a break from studying and baked me some cupcakes!
I love my butterfly shapes but I really want some more. And since I only have 5 of the cupcake holders I have to bake an entire batch 5 at a time. And making the mini ones don't really use much batter. But its still soo fun!

This is actually 2 mini cupcakes I squished into one normal size cupcake pan hole. And this is what it made so this is how I decorated it. Seemed appropriate.

My sprinkle flower :) Its actually a cupcake cooked in the bottom of a paper drinking cup. I found a package of them in Freddy's Kitchen cabinets. It made the cupcake really tall so I could cut it in half and layer it. It was a bit messy but cool. And I have no pics :/

Butterflies before and after icing. So cute :)

Almost finished! There were a lot more. It took almost 2 hours but I wasn't rushing. And I still didn't use all my batter. So fun. :)
(Sorry for bad quality of pics but they're off my phone)

And that is all for now.
After baking for so long and eating lots of batter along the way... I don't really feel like eating any cupcakes! :( But I've discovered the boys in the building love getting suprised baked goods!

Baked with love,
Chef Angela

formspring.me

Ask me anything http://formspring.me/AngelaGraceC

Yep thats my Formspring.
I'm all over the world wide web. :)

Thats how many 'goodbyes' now?

Yuma, Arizona. The next super cool place Ben gets to go. Yeah, thats a joke. Ben doesn't appreciate desert sun very much because of his sensitive skin syndrome we often refer to as him being... a ginger. Haha. For 29 more days, no talking to Ben. I'd be sad but as more of this stuff happens I'm learning time spent on being upset takes away from enjoying what is good about it. I've always been a 'look on the bright side' kind of person and I've prided myself on that. Who knew God would find ways to challenge that even more? Well he sure did. And I'm glad I recognize it and I'm trying hard to appreciate it.

I didn't really make this blog to write paragraphs upon paragraphs. Especially not negative things. But I have no new pictures or events or cool things going on.

Meanwhile I'm excited for....
-26 more days of school and I'm HOME.

Now that my summer has opened up because I cannot do Camp War Eagle anymore, :( I'm making some plans and goals for summer. So far I have:
-Plant a pretty garden of flowers
-Plant a vegetable garden of cucumbers (the only vegetable I can eat)
-Get a job/ SAVE money
-Eat a slusie everyday or at least 6 days a week.
-Go to church at Calvary! (Thats more of a rejoice and effortless goal b/c of course I'll go)
-Get naturally tan
-Workout a ton
-Tumble again for the FIRST TIME IN A YEAR starting May 14th because that is when I have my check up from surgery :)
-Rollerblade at Creve Couer a lot. I've been loving rollerblading. Especially since its the only form of working out that is approved for me until May 14th!
-Cut my hair and get my bangs back. My hair is a hot mess these days.

And since there is this new obsession with Bucket lists and other things like that too, I might make one. Just a thought.

Until then, I'm going to go work on lots of homework I hate. I really don't care for school. I wish there was a way to major in homemaking. Why is it so bad thats all I want to do? For now I get to write a paper on Communication and the Economy and do a research project on Biology and Allergies (which I'm actually moderately excited for).

Livin that good life,
Angela

Silver Lining.

I have had the most stressful, crazy, and nerve wracking past few days of my life. A lot of decisions I made for the next year are turning out not to mesh well together. I had to say goodbye to working at Camp War Eagle, which makes me BEYOND disappointed I can't even describe it. I have to enroll in summer school classes to keep my eligibility to live off campus next fall. I've had an insane couple of days looking and begging for any and every option. Feeling just a bit hopeless and overwhelmed, I get a text from Heidi simply saying 'There's a reason God is having you home this summer.' Indeed there is. So far all I can tell is that I'll be able to have CFM Slushies daily. Haha which, believe me, is a relief. But remembering some people who are at home and some needs to not be gone are starting to present themelves. And while I obviously have not figured out exactly why I am not being led to do CWE anymore, I cannot wait to find out what else God has in store.

I've also been incredibly grateful for a few people.
1. Ben, for waking up to my crying nervous self calling him. And calling him. And calling him. And him listening... A lot! I'll never know how to thank him for all the listening he does.
2. My sister. Heidi says A LOT of Bible verses, encouraging words, and quotes of wise people. Of which I tune out occasionally because I don't understand how much positivity she can store, especially since I've always thought myself a very positive person. But this time she had the perfect encouraging words that were HER OWN. And simple.
3. My dad. I normally talk things over and call my mom in a crisis but she was busy. So I called my dad and I've never been so shocked with how helpful someone could be. I probably repeated my problem to him a million times just waiting to hear a glitch that would turn out to be a good thing, and he just listened and helped and understood and I awed. Wonderful. Just wonderful he is.

"I learned from you that I do not crumble. I learned that strength is something you choose. All of the reasons to keep on believing, there's no question that's a lesson that I learned from you." Miley Cyrus.

I love the people in my life! And I love when they surprise me and I learn to appreciate them all over again.

Short post, but that's all I got for now and I'm trying hard not to forget to Blog. :)

Searching for Silver Lining,
Angela

What a week!

Its been about a week since I was in California. Since last Friday I think its been the worst week in the history of my life, and I have been in a wonderful mood! Honestly. I don't know what inside me is maturing but I have been mellow yellow. Maybe the allergies that kicked in early, thank you Mother Nature, and caused me to sleep for hours contributed to that. I've never taken so many naps, and enjoyed it! And since I'm still feeling under the weather, I have been spending much time on the computer.

I still need more pictures for it, but so far.. Here we go!

Back to school...

I had a wonderful time seeing Ben in California! I walked around a lot of shops and downtown areas of San Clemente, Oceanside, and L.A. If only I wasn't broke, I'd have been able to actually shop. Oh the temptation... We ate at a lot of good restaurants and I got to walk on a lot of beaches so I consider the trip a success. :)

Me on a pier by the ocean. Beautiful looking weather, it was actually a bit chilly.

We picked Ben up from work at Camp Pendleton and I got to see his barracks! He was a bit sweaty from working all day haha.

Yep :) Can't wait to go back.

I got back to STL at about 1:00am on Sunday morning/Saturday night. I woke up a few hours later for early morning Easter service. Had another amazing Easter at my Grampa's house. Easter is probably my favorite holiday.

We dyed Eggs!

We had an easter egg hunt, and really good food. :)
Missing home already.
Can't wait for school to be over in 5 weeks.

He is risen!
Angela
